Create a Buzz – Planting with Platform

At Platform, we’re committed to sustainability and to supporting biodiversity.  

This year, in the lead up to International Day for Biological Diversity (Thursday 22nd May), we are really excited to introduce our new wildflower seed initiative.   

Made possible by our partners JLL (www.jll.co.uk), as part of our Create a Buzz – Planting with Platform campaign we’re offering our customers and communities the opportunity to receive one of our 500 free packets of wildflower seeds.

Why Wildflower Planting?

Wildflowers play a crucial role in supporting biodiversity. Bees, butterflies and moths are declining but our seeds, once germinated, can provide the food, in the form of nectar and pollen, that pollinators need to survive and thrive during the months when they are most active.  By planting wildflowers, we can directly contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. In fact, wildflower meadows are one of the rarest habitats in the UK and we have lost 97% of our wildflower meadows since the 1930s making it harder for pollinators to survive and thrive.*

Claiming your free packet of wildflower seeds

If you are a Platform customer and are interested in taking part in our wildflower initiative, head over to your Platform Voices Customer Feedback portal to complete a quick survey about your interest in sustainability. We'll then send you a free packet of seeds, along with top tips for successfully planting them.

Sharing your results

We’d love to see how your wildflowers grow! Share your progress on social media by tagging @PlatformHousing and using the hashtag #CreateABuzz. 

We’ll be planting in our own community spaces and office locations too, so keep a look out for our updates.
