We're proud to announce new Board member appointment

We're welcoming Mandy Clarke as a Non Executive Director.

This latest appointment will further strengthen the Group’s governance by adding to the Board’s existing diverse and robust commercial experience.

Mandy is a Chartered HR professional with more than 25 years’ Board level experience for international organisations in a variety of sectors including professional services, defence, engineering and support services.  She has undertaken executive director roles globally and now operates a management consultancy providing strategic HR, transformation, project and bid services to clients in both the UK and overseas.  Her first career was as a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force.

Mandy – who lives in Wiltshire - has a portfolio of non executive positions; she is a Board Member at The Pensions Regulator and chairs the Remuneration and People Committee.  She is also the Vice Chair/Senior Independent Director at LHC Procurement Group, a national procurement provider.  Until recently, she was Co-Chair at The Association of Independent Professionals and the Self Employed, or IPSE.

Previous experience includes being the Deputy Chair at Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership; Chair of the charity Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Non Executive Director and Chair of the People and Culture Committees at two housing and care providers, Abri and GreenSquareAccord, plus a member of the committees for audit, finance and risk.

Mandy said: “I was brought up in council housing and strongly believe everyone should be able to live in a good quality and safe home.  I am thrilled to have been appointed to Platform’s Board, the organisation has a strong reputation and it is good to be back in housing again, particularly as there are so many challenges.  I hope I can help the Board and the wider team achieve our strategic objectives and make a positive difference for our customers.”
