We've won two categories in a prestigious awards scheme which recognises excellence in safety and compliance.

Platform Housing Group has been announced as winners in the following categories in the ASCP 2024 awards:

  • Safety Leadership Award – the Group was recognised for the launch of the Building Safety Change Programme which included establishing a dedicated Building Safety team and ensuring robust inspection, maintenance and reporting mechanisms in place for all areas of building safety; the creation of an independent Qualifying Supervisor team, which has led to processing 5000 electrical certifications, carrying out more than 180 on site inspections to monitor the performance of its 60 electricians, completing 300 work in progress inspections and more than 400 post work inspections; plus the enrolment of the entire management team and the heating team on specific training courses, elevating their expertise;
  • Safety and Compliance Training and Development Award – this award congratulated the Group’s investment in staff, collaborative training initiatives, a commitment to safety and compliance and a dedication to building a workforce that consistently delivers exceptional services.

The winners were unveiled at the ASCP Conference and Exhibition earlier this month at The Celtic Manor Hotel in Newport, South Wales.

Phil Trickett, Heating Services and Deliver Manager at Platform Property Care said: “We are immensely proud to have won these awards; being the recipient of the Safety and Compliance Training and Development Award confirms our investment in staff, collaborative training initiatives and a commitment to safety and compliance has built a workforce that consistently delivers exceptional services. By providing high quality training opportunities, collaborating internally and introducing innovative roles like Domestic Gas Quality Control Auditors, we are not just meeting industry standards, we are setting new benchmarks for excellence.  Our strategic initiatives are not just about compliance, they are about transforming our organisation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and providing an even better service for our customers.”

Commenting on the Safety Leadership Award, Phil said: “From collaborative training initiatives and innovative customer engagement solutions to strategic use of Power BI and achieving 100 per cent gas servicing compliance, we continue to display an unparalleled commitment to safety.  We are so thrilled to have been commended for setting new benchmarks for safety in the housing sector and for our sustained commitment to the wellbeing of both colleagues and the communities we serve.”
