The Rose Garden is a Retirement Village exclusively for people aged 60+ or 55+ if in receipt of PIP/DLA, situated just off Ledbury Road in the cathedral city of Hereford. Situated close to the city centre and with ample transport links to local amenities, The Rose Garden is the perfect location for those looking for independence with the reassurance of visiting management staff and a welcoming community.
We have two one-bedroom apartments coming soon at The Rose Garden, suitable for a single person or couple. One apartment is on the ground floor whilst another apartment is on the second floor of the building. There is lift access to the upper floors, however customers living above ground floor must be able to safely use the stairs in the case of an emergency.
Each apartment has use of the communal facilities, including a lounge, cafe, laundry room, craft room and a library! Feel free to take part in the frequent social activities if you wish to, or relax in your apartment.

One month’s rent in advance is required £1137.90 (our preferred method of payment is Direct Debit) Housing Benefit and Universal Credit is accepted. Please note that if you are claiming Housing Benefit or Housing Element of Universal Credit there are some service charges that would not be covered. These include an £86.91pcm extracare amenity charge, and a £142.33pcm extracare utilities charge. A Lettings Officer can give you a full break breakdown of the charges of what is eligible for Housing Benefits payments.
Please note from the 1st April 2025 there will be a rent increase.
If you are successful in being offered this property you will be contacted by the Lettings Officer and you will need to complete an application form.
You will be offered a starter tenancy and if there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.
Please be aware Housing Benefit / Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in, and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy.
If you are a current Private Tenant, Council Tenant or a Housing Association Tenant / (Platform Housing Group Tenant) you will be required to give notice on your current home. This is usually 4 weeks or 1 months’ notice. You will only need to give Notice if you have been informed that you are being considered/offered a property. If you have any further questions, please contact your landlord.
