Chelmsford Court is a community within a community, a well-known and respected Retirement Village service located in the Ronkswood area of Worcester.  

All the apartment flats are located in one main building with easy access to a variety of communal areas for the use and enjoyment of residents. An overview of all the facilities and services found at Chelmsford Court is given in the tick list seen to the right hand side of this web page.

Chelmsford Court offers the flexibility of living in your own flat independently but with the added peace of mind of knowing each apartment flat is located within a larger building, accessed via a secure door entry system.  In addition, there is a built in emergency TEC call alarm system monitored by the friendly Retirement Housing Officer team based on site each day and night.  The door entry, TEC Call alarm and fire alarm system are all linked to an off-site alarm monitoring centre too for back up. Chelmsford Court benefits from private parking and communal gardens.  

They are on hand to offer help , advice and support with managing and maintaining your home and tenancy.  They also oversee and monitor the building reporting any maintenance and repair issues for the communal areas and support residents to access the variety of other services available from Platform Housing.  The on-site team also undertake regular face to face wellbeing visits and property checks to help ensure everyone is being supported to maintain their independent lifestyle.   Help to access specialist support and advice services is available, as is help from Platform to make sure everyone is maximising their income.   The Retirement Housing team co-ordinate a number of different social activities and will support groups of residents if they wish to organise something for themselves. The Chelmsford Court team can help to refer for care needs assessments should anyone need additional help to access personal care services which are provided by other visiting care agencies either through the local authority or self-funded, subject to personal circumstances.

Rent and Service Charges

Rent and service charges are reviewed and fixed annually. They are payable monthly in advance by direct debit. 
Welfare benefits are available to help customers pay any rent or service charges depending on individual circumstances. Platform can offer support to apply for benefits and maximise personal income upon request.

Chelmsford Court is located in the established Ronkswood area on the outskirts of Worcester.  It benefits from easy access into the city, with bus stops close by and is within walking distance to local shops, hairdressers and Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
