You will be required to pay one month’s rent in advance prior to signing for the property of between £579.90-£738.66. Please note that if you are claiming Housing Benefit or Housing Element of Universal Credit there are some service charges that would not be covered. These include a £10.77pcm charge for admin, £54.22pcm charge for personal heating, £17.57pcm charge for water, and a £7.79pcm charge for support. A Lettings Officer can give you a full break breakdown of the charges of what is eligible for Housing Benefits payments. Please note our preferred ongoing method of payment is via Direct Debit and we accept Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
If you are accepted and do become a Platform Housing Group tenant, you will be offered a starter tenancy. If there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.
