New partnership formed to deliver 91 affordable homes in Higham Ferrers
Platform Housing Group’s land team have this month completed negotiations to acquire a number of new homes that will be offered for affordable housing.
Through strong partnership work with Countryside Partnerships (part of Vistry Group) they will take handover of 73 homes across various sites the developer has in Gloucester, Stroud, North Northamptonshire, Huntingdonshire and Tewskesbury.
27 of the units are at the Great Oldbury site at Stonehouse – a development near Stroud, where the homes are a mixture of 3 and 4 bed detached and semi-detached dwellings. The majority of the other units are distributed across sites in the Gloucestershire area, with 18 acquired in towns near Peterborough.
Kate Ellison, Platform’s Director of Land, Partnerships and Business Development said,
“This kind of partnership work is another great example of the sector coming together to find solutions for the local authorities we work with. As we navigate the development landscape and continue to push for land and sites to work on, these kinds of agreements ensure we can keep providing affordable housing for those who need it most.”
Handovers at some sites have already taken place and the final homes will be received by Summer next year.
