We teamed up with Cranham Primary School in Worcester earlier this month to help clean up the city streets.

We have an established relationship with the school; ourm colleagues organise and attend fortnightly multi agency drop ins at the school which have been running for the past 2 years.  Customers who attend can talk to our colleagues and access other services from partner agencies at a one stop shop where they are given one to one support.

Paul Edwards, our Community Engagement Officer said: “Being involved with our communities is a vital part of the work that we do.  The areas we chose are largely driven by customers who suggest places where they have seen litter.  It's a great way for people to get involved in their local communities and a thoroughly rewarding initiative for all those who take part.”

The litter picks have been running for around 18 months.

Sue Turner, Family Liaison, Nurture Lead and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at Cranham Primary School said: “We are always delighted to team up with Platform on various initiatives and projects.  Taking part in these litter picks is part of us giving back to our communities and links back to The United Nations Sustainability Goals.  It’s also great for the children to understand where their responsibilities lie within their community.  Thank you Platform!”
