Applause for award winning contractor

We are celebrating the success of one of our valued contractors.  

We have praised Cambridgeshire contractor Burmor following its award win at the recent National Project Excellence Awards.  

Burmor has been announced as the winner of the East Project of the Year 2024 category, for its development of our London Road development in Kirton, Lincolnshire, which comprises 41 homes.  

The awards – which are delivered by Procure Partnerships Framework – are a celebration of the very best in the industry, the vital projects they deliver and the long term impacts they have on communities across the UK.  

This year’s awards – which were held in Birmingham towards the end of last month – rewarded firms who demonstrated industry best practice and excellence across their projects, through technical innovations, social impact and sustainability.

Out of the 41 homes at the London Road development, six of these were selected to be built to the Future Homes Standard of 2025 using a panelised construction system using energy efficient measures including air source heat pumps, solar panels, triple glazing and thermal flooring.  

Burmor Construction is a main contractor based in Market Deeping in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire; it employs more than 50 people with an annual turnover of £40million.  It started out in 1978 as a trusted local builder and has grown into an experienced multi disciplinary contractor and developer operating in the East Midlands and the East of England.  Burmor specialises in the design and construction of affordable housing, industrial and commercial projects and private developments.
