319 affordable gas free homes coming to Nottingham
In partnership with Keepmoat Homes, we have joined forces to deliver 319 homes as part of a bigger development on the former Boots site in Nottingham.
Once completed, the homes at Trentside will be all electric, with air source heat pumps and innovative solar electricity tech panels to generate energy, saving residents substantial monthly costs on running their homes.
The site is part of a larger development, Beeston Canalside, which will be made up of more than 600 homes in total.
With work now underway – with an anticipated completion date of 2029 for the entire regeneration project - this is our largest ever development, contributing to an impressive 1500 homes we will start work on this year. It represents a huge achievement for us as we continue to build homes across the region.
Thirty of the homes are being delivered for Nottingham City Council with 93 allocated for affordable rent and 226 for shared ownership.

The development comprises part of the 286 acre Nottingham Enterprise Zone – which aims to be the UK’s centre for innovation in life sciences, medical research, health, beauty and wellness - and Walgreen Boots Alliance campus, which formed part of the health and pharmacy chains operational headquarters where it developed and manufactured ibuprofen painkillers during the 1960s.
The development is a true Nottingham born success story, linking a historical industrial site from Nottingham’s largest employer with the local offices of one of the country’s most successful housebuilders and ourselves. The legal teams were exclusively drawn from Nottingham based law firms, Geldards LLP, acting for Boots; Freeths LLP, acting for Keepmoat and Browne Jacobson LLP, acting for Platform. Boots were represented by well known Nottingham agent Tim Garratt from Black Star Advisory.
Boots has occupied the site for almost 100 years and the development supports its’ desire for a positive legacy for the former industrial site, and our ongoing commitments to sustainability with a further aspiration for a number of homes to benefit from ‘zero bills.’
